This unbelievable free standing ice arch sculpture is now gone of course. And had I not landed on this hidden lake that day I may have never seen it. The lake is usually choked with ice bergs and unusable but that day the wind had pushed them all aside. How this arch came to be formed I can only guess. My client Bill and I flew for a week of private Alaska Photo Safari adventures and the only camera he owned was his little cell phone. But he and I saw something no one else probably will ever see, at least on this lake. Just goes to show you have to put yourself out there and pay your dues.
