Here is a list of folks I can personally recommend.
Rust's Flying Service Rust's is the premier local flying service out of Lake Hood, Anchorage, Alaska.  I have flown for them for 11 years and counting.  Safe, reliable and friendly service with highly experienced pilot and great aircraft.
Within The Wild Lodges Carl and Kirsten Dixon have been operating rustic luxury lodges in the backcountry of Southcentral Alaska since 1983.  Their lodges have won numerous awards and accolades from around the world.  For a five star rating in dining, lodging, and friendly staff they are among the best.
McDougall Lodge The historic McDougall Lodge provides a cozy backwoods environment with first class fishing. The lodge is a place where you and your friends can kick back and relax after a day of fishing on Lake Creek.
Redoubt Bay Lodge A great place to spend half a day or several days, fishing, kayaking and bear viewing all from the comfort of a private cabin with a great staff to guide you.  A short :45 min. flight southwest from Anchorage, Alaska.
Flying in Alaska My friend and former co-worker at Rust's, Jay Kelly has put together a site with just about everything you would want to know about flying around Alaska. It's a great source for informational links too.
Riversong Lodge Owners Randy and Robin have maintained a great tradition of excellent dining, comfortable cabins and incredible fishing along the Yetna and Lake Creek confluence, only 30 minutes northwest of Anchorage, Alaska.
Stewart's Photo

Stewart's Photo is my local go to place here in Alaska.  I bought my 1Dx and 1Gx both there along with lots of other gear.  The knowledgeable staff always treat me fair.  Support your local vendors.

Scott McMurren He is Alaska's Travel Authority, I subscribe to his emails because I need to know the best prices to get in and out of the state.  I once scored 100,000 free airmiles by listening to his advice.
Sam Sheng

Sam is a super helpful person.  For months he guided me through the process of getting my first book ready for printing with his company.  contact: [email protected]

Robbie Laird All good artists learn from disciplines other than their own.  I have learned a lot from Robbie's paintings and her workshops.
