This composite images show how the fox, walks along on a crusty bank of snow. The rodents underneath hear him and scurry away. The scurrying sound give away their location and after a few seconds of mental geometry this Red Fox is able to hunt rodents under the snow layer by pouncing up in the air and landing nose and fore paws thrust into the snow like a diver off a springboard. He was successful four out of six times inside of 20 minutes.
