It sometimes helps to have two cameras along on your Alaska Photo Safari. Here I was able to take a self portrait, using a tripod and a timer, while carrying the point and shoot with me. I often carry the point and shoot, which shoots raw images, so that I do not have to change lens as often on my SLR body. That way I cut down the dust that can enter the camera body.
