If I win a lottery ticket then each fall I drive the Denali road. One year the early snow hit and closed the road the day before I arrived. All the photographers on that day were turned back and I thought my day would probably turn out the same way. But the next morning the road was partially opened, and by the time we made it to the turn back point, they had succeeded in opening the road for it's entire length. Still I thought what good would it do, since with the snow the wildlife would be mostly gone. As it turns out I'd rather have one great shot than a hundred average shots. It's rare to see a Grizzly out in the snow. It does happen, but still it was a lucky day for me.
